My name is Meredith, and I’m a senior dual majoring in Politics and History. I’ve found it encouraging to be surrounded by driven peers while exploring my interest in law, which is why I’m excited to be your Co-President! Responsibilities:
  •  Preside over all meetings of the general membership and board;
  • Serve as a chair of the Executive Board and preside over all its meetings; 
  • Act as spokesperson for the society;
  •  Maintain the power to present all motions to the board;
  • Oversee recruitment of new members; 
  • Run elections;
  • Maintain a line of communication with administration

Co-Treasurers
Hi! My name is Ana, and I’m a treasurer of the Scripps Pre-Law Society! I’m a sophomore at Scripps majoring in Politics and Environmental Analysis, with a minor in Legal Studies. I want to work in environmental law in the future, and I enjoy reading, watching Formula 1, and participating in the Scripps Mock Trial Team! 
Responsibilities:
  • Handle all dues, accounts, and expenditures of the society; 
  • ​Keep records of the aforementioned dues, accounts, and expenditures; 
  • Plan, implement, and organize all fundraising activities (in conjunction with the Events Director).

Hi! My name is Geeta (they/them) and I am a junior double majoring in Politics and Biology. I am interested in the overlap of STEM and law, specifically in intellectual property law. Events Director
​​My name is Lily and I am majoring in Politics with a minor in Foreign Languages. I have a passion for migrant justice and after my undergraduate studies, I hope to pursue immigration law. I am so excited to be your Events Director this year! Please reach out to me if you have any comments, ideas, questions, or concerns about Pre-Law Society Events.
Responsibilities:
  • Organize and manage all events, including communicating with speakers, reserving space for the event on campus (if applicable), and any other necessities required for the event.

My name is Annika (she/they) and I'm pursuing a dual degree with politics and psychology. Outside of SPLS I am also a research assistant in the 4th ammendment legal decision making lab and a staff writer for the Claremont Journal of Law and Public Policy. I plan to attend law school and combine my JD with a masters in public administration. Please reach out with any questions or if you want to talk policy law!
Responsibilities:
  • Keep meeting minutes; 
  • Manage all social media accounts, logos and general updating the membership of opportunities and things happening within the Scripps Pre-Law Society.​

Internship 
Coordinator 
My name is Reyna Manriquez and I am a junior dual majoring in Politics and Chicanx/Latinx Studies with a minor in Foreign Languages. I have a passion for advocacy roles, particularly with an interest in immigration law. As your Internship Coordinator, I hope to find internships and volunteer opportunities in your field of interest and pipeline programs that will help you in your career journey!
Responsibilities:
    •    Establish connections with organizations to provide students with legal opportunities.
    •    Updating the internship list with new opportunities​. 
JEN GROSCUP
FACULTY ADVISOR

Professor Groscup is an associate professor of psychology and the Pre-Law Advisor at Scripps College. She received her B.A. from Georgetown University and her J.D. and Ph.D. from University of Nebraska -- Lincoln. Her primary area of research interest is the intersection between psychology and law. She is particularly interested in legal decision making, expert evidence, scientific evidence, and the effect of attitudes and pre-existing knowledge on perceptions of players and procedures in the legal system. 
Responsibilities:
  • Help with any specific questions about law school, including how to apply, where to find resources for the LSAT, and how to find the right schools for you.
